Empowering Positive Change

For nearly 25 years, my husband, our two children, and I have called Portola Valley home. I am grateful to live in this beautiful and remarkable place, cherishing the scenic beauty, wildlife, and thoughtful community full of people with shared values of respect, honesty, and generosity. It’s always such a thrill to catch a glimpse of a baby fox climbing a mulberry tree, a red-tailed hawk swooping down for a gopher, or a coyote moving off a trail to avoid my friends and me on a hiking trail.
I’ve dedicated countless hours as an active member of the Architectural and Site Control Commission, of many Town committees, and school groups and through my twenty years as the founder and moderator of the PVForum, delving into community issues in depth and offering a balanced perspective and many potential solutions. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of and respect for our Town's diverse viewpoints.
I'm committed to listening, researching, and developing pragmatic approaches that honor our General Plan while addressing the needs of our residents and fulfilling state requirements.
My priorities are to:
-
Foster a culture of respect, fact-based decision making, and openness while rebuilding and supporting our Town staff.
-
Secure our finances to ensure the continued viability and success of our Town.
-
Promote a sustainable future for our town by prioritizing the well-being and safety of our residents and the stewardship of our natural environment while welcoming a few new residents.
Inspired by the vision of our founders—who established Portola Valley on the principles of environmental stewardship, efficient governance, and strong community spirit—I’m committed to preserving the special qualities of our Town while working hard to find solutions we need to make to create a welcoming environment for all.
I respectfully ask for your vote on Tuesday, November 5th, to continue our legacy and guide our town through its challenges.
Thank you.
